Hi guys,

I guess most of you have noticed the Interviews tab on the top navbar of the blog, or at least have seen a couple of them either here or at my youtube channel.

I started this initiative because I thought our art lacked personality, i mean, we knew each other for our avatar and signatures in the forums and our perfect manicure (which i didn’t ever have) from the videos.

First I thought of trying to interview the big names only so that we could demistify themselves and put them closer to us poor average card guys, but then, after a while i thought it would be interesting to interview anyone that was in the “spotlight” or had anything interesting to say about our art.

The easier method i though of was sending them some questions in a text file that they should answer whenever they had some spare time.

This way i got a few interesting ones but then i got to ask my friend Jordan Lapping and he came up with the idea of doing the interview in front of his webcam, thus making it even more personal and impromptu.

I loved it and then I started asking many people to do that for the community.

The responses were priceless, and this was what made this blog be what it is now, so I feel like I have to thank you for building up this whole thing with your videos, articles, card gossip and constructive comments.

There are some great interviews for you to watch if you didn’t already and some other scheduled for the future, here is the list of the names that we’ve got so far so select one, sit back and enjoy and after that mind leaving a comment or asking them a question.

So i would like to hear from you about what do you think about this whole initiative and how could it be improved, who would you like to be interviewed in the future or what other ideas do you have to bring the artist closer.

I promised everyone that I would post the final Blackpool video here, and so here it is. It was a shock this morning; I hadn’t expected to find it finished already — but Allan has spent much of his free time playing with the video. I feel that was very kind of him, considering the little spare time he has. Happy Birthday, mate.

So without further ado, I present to you the final instalment of the trio; “BLACKPOOL 2008″. Despite the apparent mental-retardness, I hope you do have fun watching — it was certainly a great Convention. Thank you to all that attended and made it what it was! I’d also like to thank Dan and Dave Buck for allowing me to post this Clip Shift performance; very kind of them.

Hey guys,
A couple of you wanted to know what this cut was since seeing it in the “CandJ FISM Battle”. As many of you know, I was at the Blackpool Convention a month ago and I figured I would spend my spare time shooting this tutorial. If you were one of those people - then this goes out to you.

This is the first public video of the Blackpool Convention from our friends Chris Hestnes and Jordan Lapping. They put toghether a cool standing up jam session with some nice synced flourishes. A couple of you may have seen the old “CandJ - The Battle” video; a two-man cardician-battle staged at FISM 2006. If you have, you’re in for a treat.Whilst in the middle of the routine, R. Paul Wilson comes into shot and sits himself directly in the line of view. I myself did not actually see him until Chris pointed it out after he left. Apparently Chris told me that he noticed Paul out of the corner of his eye; and so got nervous which caused him to fail. But still, this is an interesting outtake from there. I’m sure you guys will enjoy this.

Expect something similar in a few weeks time. :)
