What are your thoughts on my Interviews?

thecuso interviews

Hi guys,

I guess most of you have noticed the tab on the top navbar of the blog, or at least have seen a couple of them either here or at my youtube channel.

I started this initiative because I thought our art lacked personality, i mean, we knew each other for our avatar and signatures in the forums and our perfect manicure (which i didn’t ever have) from the .

First I thought of trying to interview the big names only so that we could demistify themselves and put them closer to us poor average card guys, but then, after a while i thought it would be interesting to interview anyone that was in the “spotlight” or had anything interesting to say about our art.

The easier method i though of was sending them some questions in a text file that they should answer whenever they had some spare time.

This way i got a few interesting ones but then i got to ask my friend and he came up with the idea of doing the interview in front of his webcam, thus making it even more personal and impromptu.

I loved it and then I started asking many people to do that for the community.

The responses were priceless, and this was what made this blog be what it is now, so I feel like I have to thank you for building up this whole thing with your , articles, card gossip and constructive comments.

There are some great for you to watch if you didn’t already and some other scheduled for the future, here is the list of the names that we’ve got so far so select one, sit back and enjoy and after that mind leaving a comment or asking them a question.

So i would like to hear from you about what do you think about this whole initiative and how could it be improved, who would you like to be interviewed in the future or what other ideas do you have to bring the artist closer.

Leave a comment and chose your favourite interview.

Daren Yeow’s 0630

1 Star2 Stars3 Stars4 Stars5 Stars (No Ratings Yet)

A card is signed and selected by the spectator.
The card is ripped up cleanly and restored MISMATCHED… at the same time.
The pieces restore in the cleanest way possible… the ends literally touch and fuse with absolutely no cover.
Remember, each and every piece is restored MISMATCHED.
That’s still not the best part.
The magician looks at the face of the card, and gently waves the card.
He then turns it around to show that the face of the card is now repaired and isn’t mismatched anymore.
The signed, mismatched card is then immediately given to the spectator as a souvenir.
It is 100% examinable.
The effect can also be done without mismatching the pieces.
This is the best part.
IT’S ABSOLUTELY FREE.

Buy The T&R Project and we will include an exact replica of the original “0630″ handwritten black booklet he sent me.
Only 500 copies of this booklet will be replicated.
Once they are gone they will be gone forever.

TheCuso interviews Daren Yeow

Who are you and where are you from?

My name is . I come from Singapore(Yes the great land where all great flourishers reside including people like Bone, , , Elijah Cai, Yeow, Yeow, TheVirts, TheVirts, Yeow)

How long have you been into ?

I’ve been into cards for about 4 years now. Started off with , dont we all. And slowly switched sides so to speak. So I would say I’ve been into Card Flourishes for about 3 years now.

What’s your favourite flourish?
I dont really have a favourite flourish as I do many different kinds, stuff like armspreads, fans, ariels. No doubt these are rare in my flourish , but I do them in real life when I actually show laymen this stuff. Not just all Cuts and fucking boring.
Well, I’ll just name one becasue Alejandro wont fucking give it a rest. Lets see.. hmm…. Mockingbird. (What a surprise)

If any, what’s your favourite trick?
Favourite trick, ’s Making Ends Meet. (Soon to be released in his DVD which was scheduled to have been released 2 or 3 years ago but he seems to be forever working on it so I have no clue when you guys out there will get to see that awesome T&R effect. Actually, I do have a clue… but i think i’d better keep my mouth zipped, dont want to give anything away)

Who would you say is your favourite magician?
, It’s always a pleasure to wtach him perform and astound the laypeople he performs to with the bullshit that he does. I’m serious, his is really literally, just, bullshit.

How about your favourite flourisher?
Ah, that’s an easy question. Myself.

What cards do you use regularly?
Tally Ho Circle Backs. I really like their design, Very unique. And most of the time the borders are thinner than your usual bikes thus giving u really nice fans, Of course that is partly because of my skill. But yeah, cards with thin borders produce realyl nice fans. They’re also of thinner stock than most decks.

What are you currently practicing?
A cut of mine called ReAnimation

What do you think about the current situations with online /flourishing communities?
Well, it’s really boring imo online communities and such. I guess I do visit these online communities to keep myself updated with the things happening in the flourishing community in general, but other than that, there’s nothing else the online communities seem to be able to offer at the moment.

What do you think about Alejandro Portela?
I really honestly think u’re a nice guy. Well, i’ll just say that i can see you as a future .

What are your feelings towards www.TheCuso.info?
It seems to be a very informative website that is really helpful for beginners and those starting out and having no knowledge at all about Card flourishes and would like to start along this looooooong and winding path of never ending politics between the different communities and flourishers.

Who do you think is going to hit hard in the future?
Alejandro Portela

What are your plans for the future?
I like living one day at a time.

Who would you like to see in the next interview?
Seriously though, Erik Jansson, I’d like a good laugh.

Any last words you’d like to mention?
Thank you for taking the time out to do that might hopefully help other flourishes along the way, though I highly doubt, my interview was helpful at all :P. But if it was helpful, dont forget to send me 20 jerry nuggets to all thoes that felt this interview was helpful.
