TicaL is broke and needs to get some money for the summer buzz in Sevilla, Spain. So, he is selling all his card collection at eBay. You saw his dvds listed about a week ago and now he is selling his rare cards:

 Damn Cards by TicaL

1. red Jerry’s Nugget (open)
2. *blue Bicycle Aces of Spades (open)
3. blue Aristocrat 727 (open)
4. green Golden Nugget (sealed)
5. red Sahara Tahoe (open)
6. *blue Absolut Vodka (sealed)
7. blue Old Stud (sealed)
8. red Aladdin 1001 (sealed)
9. red Arrco U.S. Reg. (sealed)

“Every single deck is complete and even those few opened one’s are all in perfect condition – just like brandnew! Some of those decks are rare and some not, but they are all special in their very own way.
This auction should be interesting for any card collector or guys who just like to flourish with them.
- I will add the Joe Porper “Spade Logo” card-clip to it which also looks like brandnew (only 100 were produced – here you have the chance to get one of ‘em).
*pleeease – don’t send me mails and ask me to show up more pics and stuff – those cards are all like you would expect them and I’ve treated ‘em rly good!
Nothing is faked so calm down – I just want your money!
peace”

What are your thoughts on my Interviews?

thecuso interviews

Hi guys,

I guess most of you have noticed the Interviews tab on the top navbar of the blog, or at least have seen a couple of them either here or at my youtube channel.

I started this initiative because I thought our art lacked personality, i mean, we knew each other for our avatar and signatures in the forums and our perfect manicure (which i didn’t ever have) from the videos.

First I thought of trying to interview the big names only so that we could demistify themselves and put them closer to us poor average card guys, but then, after a while i thought it would be interesting to interview anyone that was in the “spotlight” or had anything interesting to say about our art.

The easier method i though of was sending them some questions in a text file that they should answer whenever they had some spare time.

This way i got a few interesting ones but then i got to ask my friend Jordan Lapping and he came up with the idea of doing the interview in front of his webcam, thus making it even more personal and impromptu.

I loved it and then I started asking many people to do that for the community.

The responses were priceless, and this was what made this blog be what it is now, so I feel like I have to thank you for building up this whole thing with your videos, articles, card gossip and constructive comments.

There are some great interviews for you to watch if you didn’t already and some other scheduled for the future, here is the list of the names that we’ve got so far so select one, sit back and enjoy and after that mind leaving a comment or asking them a question.

So i would like to hear from you about what do you think about this whole initiative and how could it be improved, who would you like to be interviewed in the future or what other ideas do you have to bring the artist closer.

Leave a comment and chose your favourite interview.

TheCuso’s Nebula Tutorial Released

Ok, finally i decided to release this move to the public.

I think it’s my best creation and though it might seem an easy and stupid cut it has a lot of potential.

Nebula is an utility move that it’s meant to be incorporated into more complex and elaborated flourishes.

As an elegant alternative to the swing cut it can also be used to divide the deck in two halves in the middle of your favourite one handed cuts routine.

I like to use it before making a smear fan in the right hand and a carnahan in the left to show a circle.

I know many people (includding my friends Jonas Haglund, Huron Low, TicaL and others) are using this move and have came up with fantastic variations and combos that might eventually be made public for you.

I had a hard time deciding if i should release this move or keep it for me and my friends but you know how i am and how i think, and for those of you that dont i’ll tell you…

I think this move has a lot of potential as i said so keeping it wouldn’t make our art progress in any way.

So here is my little gift for you to experiment.

I would like to see hundreds of video responses with your ideas upon this concept and of course i would like you to TAKE YOUR TIME to comment on what do you think about the move (what is nice and what is not…) so please stay away from saying: “nice”, “wow”, “great stuff” “thanks” “keep it up” kind of comments, PLEASE! :P

I want to thank everyone that watches my stuff, all my subscribers at youtube and specially in my blog (those of you that take me seriously :P), all my flourishing friends and the video editor who asked me to keep his name private.

Thanks a lot once again and enjoy!

In this video you can see Tical performing a variation of my Nebula flourish called nebuCUTnezar, of course, a lot more elaborated than mine.

What do you think?

Tical – Yin Yang Fan Tutorial

About the Name:

It’s called YinYang fan for several reasons…
1st of all – because it’s form looks from the side like the YinYang symbol (if you got enough imagination to recognize this) , but beside that, I gave this fan his name,
because it’s inspired by FatFingerz (he showed me an aerial move he came up with, using the same grip I’m using for my fan) so I thought it would just be correct to thank him for that “now” ’cause for credits there was really no space in my Luv ‘n Hate video.
Which brings us to the next point – Yin Yang is the symbol which I immediately associate with things like Evil/Good, War/Peace or even Love and Hate…and I knew that those moves, would get me Love and Hate ( Big Thanks here for all the great feedback I’ve gotten on the moves and [...] ).

Whatever – YY describes also harmony and FatFingerz is the livin’ harmony as I know him – so I want to dedicate this move to you Fatz!

About the Move:

Maybe you ask yourself why I only do the move in my left hand. It’s because this fan is about the hand motion, the nice build up (which I can’t do that smooth in my right hand) and it’s about the great look from the side, not about the indices…
If you prefer doing it in your right hand — go for it.
If you got problems getting into the right grip, then try it first with a half deck.
Powder is not necessary, but it helps (especially on the flip over).
