Dan & Dave Buck – Spring Jam (Cheaterscheater remix)

“Following its first major crash in April of 2004, Bone Ho’s infamous Cheaterscheater.com was resurrected in the fall of that year, under the new domain THEcheaterscheater.com.
Not long after the site’s relaunch, Dan and Dave Buck posted this exclusive re-edit of their classic ‘Spring Jam’ on the site, which went on to be one of its most highly-rated videos until the site’s second (and final) crash about a month later.”

Hey guys,
A couple of you wanted to know what this cut was since seeing it in the “CandJ FISM Battle”. As many of you know, I was at the Blackpool Convention a month ago and I figured I would spend my spare time shooting this tutorial. If you were one of those people – then this goes out to you.
All credits are in the video, and I hope you enjoy. :)
With love,
Jordan

Hey guys, as you have seen we are starting a new podcast at my blog and we would like you to give us some guidelines on what to talk about in the weekly episodes.
You are going to create it, just tell us what do you want to listen or watch and we will do it.
Do you want technique essays, theory and philosophy behind card flourishes, product reviews, moves analysis, more interviews…
Anything you want, just ask!
Welcome to the 2.0 era of flourishing communities.

Ben You – Crossroads

In my other video “EXPO”, I promised a video in 2008. This is it, after one and a half years of cardistry. Unfortunately, I seem to be reaching a crossroad of sorts.
A “crossroad” metaphorically means crisis. For example, “omg, the community is declining… I QUIT!” It is a time of “make or break”.
With my liability to serve the army near, I fear for my passion. Would I be robbed by an authoritarian government of the art which I love?
All right I better shut up before I become GAY.
I made this in case I go MIA.
Moves in order:
Dragon Fan (Daryl Ho)
Shortcut — closer (Ben You)
Scorpionfish — closer (Ben You)
BMW combo (Ben You/Allan. D/Dan and Dave Buck)
? (Ben You)
Weapon Orion (Ben You)
Morbius — closer (Ben You)
Tesla (Ben You)
Megatron (Ben You)
Inverse Fan (Jaspas)
Inverse Osiris (Ben You/Scott and Sean Watters/Jaspas)
All Around Benny (Ben You/Kevin Ho)

“Here’s a small one-card production of mine, it sort of resembles Piet Fortons popout a bit, only it’s meant for in the hands-work.”

Twitter in Plain English
Posted on: March 7, 2008No comments yet
A couple of months ago i signed up for twitter, a micro blogging system that allows you to instantly tell people what are you doing during every second of your dull life.
I found a video at youtube created by the guys at commoncraft that explains what is twitter and how it works and i thought you would like to take a look at it.
I suggest you to sign up for an account to see how funny and addictive it is. We could use it to let other flourishers know what we are practicing, recording, editing… Well, give it a try and “follow me” at www.twitter.com/thecuso.

Bryan Berg Card Stacking

Using 22,000 cards over 3 days, record-holding card stacker Bryan Berg builds the Rhode Island State House.
Bryan Berg broke the Guinness World Record for the World’s Tallest House of Cards in 1992 at the age of seventeen, with a tower fourteen feet, six inches tall. His latest record-holding structure in the category is over twenty-five feet tall.
Touring regularly, Berg has stacked cards in virtually every major U.S. city and in Japan, Denmark, and Germany.
Tical – Yin Yang Fan Tutorial
Posted on: January 26, 20085 comments so far (is that a lot?)
About the Name:
It’s called YinYang fan for several reasons…
1st of all – because it’s form looks from the side like the YinYang symbol (if you got enough imagination to recognize this) , but beside that, I gave this fan his name,
because it’s inspired by FatFingerz (he showed me an aerial move he came up with, using the same grip I’m using for my fan) so I thought it would just be correct to thank him for that “now” ’cause for credits there was really no space in my Luv ‘n Hate video.
Which brings us to the next point – Yin Yang is the symbol which I immediately associate with things like Evil/Good, War/Peace or even Love and Hate…and I knew that those moves, would get me Love and Hate ( Big Thanks here for all the great feedback I’ve gotten on the moves and [...] ).
…
Whatever – YY describes also harmony and FatFingerz is the livin’ harmony as I know him – so I want to dedicate this move to you Fatz!
About the Move:
Maybe you ask yourself why I only do the move in my left hand. It’s because this fan is about the hand motion, the nice build up (which I can’t do that smooth in my right hand) and it’s about the great look from the side, not about the indices…
If you prefer doing it in your right hand — go for it.
If you got problems getting into the right grip, then try it first with a half deck.
Powder is not necessary, but it helps (especially on the flip over).

TheCuso – Riu Cut Tutorial
Posted on: January 24, 20082 comments so far (is that a lot?)
Here is a short tutorial for my Riu Cut, i shot it yesterday in a break from studying (i have my first exam tomorrow), i know the quality is not very good, i made it with my nokia n95 8gb phone camera and edited it with the poor video editing software it has… but the music just rox :P
This cut is nothing very original i have to admit, i created it long time ago but some people seemed to like it so im giving you this for you to experiment it and trash it once u’ve learned it :P
I dont use this in real life but, well, there you go!
Dedicated to my friend Jonas Haglund, the #1 Dr.Kosmos fan.
The Virts Are Back!
Posted on: August 20, 20077 comments so far (is that a lot?)
The art of playing card flourishing is expression through the manipulation of cards utilizing a deck’s ability to split into 52 parts.
It is an extension of the flourisher’s personality, where through this expression he finds a sense of freedom.
In 2004, four artists in Singapore formed the card flourishing team, Virtuoso, and took the world by storm.
They took a break from the public scene in 2006 to reconceptualize their team.
The year is 2007, and here Virtuoso pushes the limits of the art again like never before.
Welcome to the tip of the iceberg of what’s to come.
The Virts…are back.
