Thanks for the kind comments.
Unfortunately I don’t know the name and got no information on where and when these cards were originally made… Only thing I know is that the back design looks awesome.

Great application to the smear fan, and the footages were fan-tastic!

ah, said it before but will say it again, I’ve loved that move ever since I saw it in that old perf vid!! The tutorial is neatly done! definitely a cool move anybody could add to his repertoire ^^

seems like someone wasn’t bright enough to realize this was a tutorial ? :/
I thought it was obvious.
Besides, sins refer to actual common “mistakes” in perf vids, it’s not about throwing random numbers in the [1;7] interval as a pretext to a bad rating…
If you want to use our terminology, try at least to understand it, especially when it’s that easy, thanks.

In fact, even though it’s a tutorial and not a performance video, it really has only one sin, which would be okay for a performance vid but great for a tutorial.

I didn’t actually write that ;-) -1 me for not getting a gravatar I guess.
The move looked cool, do it with a packet and you’ve got lang’s 2f1h idea, I’ve seen a pinky flick off a smear fan but this idea looks new and significantly easier!
only -1 is, the weather there is getting crappy I guess the footage didn’t look as good as your older fan tuts (a bit darker) but the move itself was much more practical to add into combos. Which is important to think about when making tuts, like… I haven’t seen anybody doing waterfall-formation fans, backhanded twirls, or that dual-no-weave thing, but this will probably be done lots.
If youre taking requests, post a tut for some of your deck twirling combos with fans, that would be hells useful! And the smear fan with a fan balanced on top combo.
sehr toll, vier / fumph hundd!

Thanks for your input.
Yeah I take requests (smear fan shot was one). I think I could make a series of tutorials for fanning utilities/combos. I would just need to find a structure to make the tutorials interesting and easy to learn from. I’ll look into it. :)

an idea (one many have probably had but are too lazy) :
make a performance video highlighting most of your fanning techniques, or just use an old vid, and put it on youtube with Annotation links during the relevent moves, with the option to click on to access linked tutorials?
