It’s summer at .thecuso and i thought that a little constest giveaway would be the perfect holiday gift for my dear subscribers.
I’ve been talking to Jason Brumbalow, General Manager at Ellusionist, about their policy towards the cardistry & XCM worlds and he ended up admitting that they owe us a little more attention, so from now they’ll try to listen to what we have to say because we are, as he said, “no longer a minority”. Watch the official contest announcement from Jason, you might be able to catch a glimpse of the “super secret” project they are working on. arcane deck
Since there are so many competitions going on right now in the other communities we are going to keep this a simple as possible to give everyone a chance to go home with their pockets full of cards.
All you have to do is leave a comment below with the name of your favourite Ellusionist deck.
Here are the rules to follow:
1-You MUST post a comment with a valid email address for us to contact you if you win.
2-You MUST have a Gravatar account for us to validate your identity. (Go to Gravatar.com to get one)
3-You MUST NOT comment more than once under different nicknames. (we will check the IP)

The Tally-Ho black viper’s (fan back). The metallic silver finish is so bad ass. Not to mention the stock. I could deal with a half a brick of these.

Bicycle Ghost Deck
The reason I like these cards: They always feel smooth and fan well almost any time. They have a thinner springy feel that seems to be better than the thicker feel for the black decks. They show more beauty than any other deck too. Its actually hard to say wich deck is my favorite because I like all of Ellusionist decks, but for Flourishing/XCM and even magic. I think Ghost Decks have the best look, feel, and contrast for all.

I would have to say for flourishes and the sleights i would go with the blue bicycle master editions because the perform very well and last a lot longer than the normal bicycle decks I think this deck is better than the shadow masters or the black ghost deck because every time i play around with those decks they start to warp in my hands and get all chunky, but this is just my personal opinion.

They have a better feel than all the black cards. I also like the design. White cards is better than black cards because they last longer or at least looks better for a longer time.

Bicycle Black Ghost Deck.
I like these cards because they are always smooth and fan well. They have a thinner feel than the other black decks. They also look the best out of all of them with the white ring on the pips. After using all of them I would say these are the best for flourishing because they stay together well when flourishing but don’t clump, aren’t too thick so good for springing but aren’t too thin so warp and bend a lot. i think these decks look and feel the best, with the contrasting colors and no other deck looks like it

i would have to say the “Ghost” deck is my favorite.. it has sufficient colors on the pips to clearly show when doing fans and the backs are decent. my problem with black decks is that after some use they begin to wear on the edges and make the cards look so nasty… this is probably the most important reason why i choose ghost over some of the other E decks.
they do have a good stock and fan smoothly which is always a big Plus in my book.. over all, i’ve found that the Ghost deck handles very well for magic and flourishes.

It’s actually hard to say which deck is my absolute favorite because I like a lot of Ellusionist decks, the Black Ghost deck is a close second, but for Cardistry, XCM, and even magic, I believe that Ghost Decks have the best feel compared to the rest.

I’d say the Ghost deck.
I like the way the blood red pips articulate spreads; combined with the UV500 air flow finish, they’re a sure winner for card flourishers alike.

ghost deck, easily. Im not a fan of reverse face cards,The blood red pips are sexy and the finish and feal makes the ghosts the best deck you have came out with for flourishing. having cards which you can cut cheese with is not a bonus. Also the ace is the shiznits

The ghost deck. It faro’s perfectly, fans great, spreads are great, and there are pretty good for cuts when broken in. The design and color is also nice.

Bicycle Ghost deck.
It’s simple, clean, minimalistic. One of the best things about it for me isn’t that it fans great, spreads well or anything like that. Simply, it doesn’t look ridiculous. Most of the black decks look like they’re just showing off to me, but this one is classy. Overall it’s pretty awesome, as a flourisher to me this deck is of great quality, and as a layman to anyone this is mysterious, impressive and unique.

Bicycle Shadow Masters.
In my opinion I think the bicycle shadow masters by far are the most awesome of all the Ellusionist decks. From The Ace to the Joker the art work on these cards are perfectly picked. Definitely a 10/10 rating, With Excellent handling for Xcm and Cardistry. Over all I think these are one of the best decks on Ellustionist !

Bicycle Ghost Deck.
They are beautiful, they feel elegant to work with and they are good all round. I personally like using them for Magic myself because I get such a good reaction with them just being beautiful.
With the Black decks they are a lot thicker and they don’t feel as responsive as the ghosts.

Although I don’t use the Ellusionist decks a lot, I can say with certainty that I love the Vipers the most. Not only do they have a simple elegant design, but the handling of them…let’s just say that the song “Jizz in My Pants” could be about it.

i really enjoy using the black deck because i wear mostly light colored shirts, so it stands out more. also for card tricks. tey are good size for palming and they have that old familliar bycycle stuf, which i love.

Bicycle Ghost Deck. No need for any hysterical over-hyping. It’s a great deck for all kind of card manipulations and looks especially nice in fans (great work on the indices).

My favorite ellusionist deck would have to be the black ghost deck.
The reason for this is because this deck looks cool and feels great not to mention it looks awesome when used in flourishes. It faros, fans, and springs well. But besides all those things, i pretty much like the black ghost deck because it’s cool and ive had the same deck for about a year and it still does everything listed above.

1. great finish fan and spread perfectly
2. awesome card design the back design is elegant and kinda have a mysterious feel to it.
3.it comes with cool jokers and ace of spade

I am willing to get a tally ho because….they have a very elegant smooth finish…..that deck means a lot to me…..because i dont get any decks in india ……..prices vary so much that if a normal deck costs dollars 6…then the deck over here costs upto 600 rupees………so i use a very normal deck ..which does’nt fan nor has a air cushion finish …..i hope to win this time…….pray to god!!!

Bicycle Ghost deck.
Lasts quite a while, wonderful feel to them. A bit on the soft side, very gentle to my sensitive hands ;)
Also, I have a Ghost gaff deck, so new decks would be very much needed now!
Would like to try Black Ghost though…

Bicycle Ghost Deck
I like this deck because it has a UV-500 Air-Flow Finish and an amazing design .You can perform an aditional effect with the jokers.
Ghost marks a new era in white playing card design because this deck has elements of the Tiger and Viper, but it’s white .
With or Without fanning powder it’s works perferct.

I really like the design of it (ooo the ace of spades *__*), fan/spread nicely and stay well together when performing cuts. They aren’t black, so it doesn’t draw too much suspicion when performing magic with them ^^

Shadow Masters-
The stock puts Jerry’s Nuggets in last. The elegant looks of the deck makes the hair on your arm shoot dead up. The feeling of the deck is like the feeling of finishing a 100 mile race, it’s a phanimon. And finally, cause it’s Ellusionist.

master deck.
although it is a bit thicker, it is the deck that once you grip it, you don’t want to let it go. when flourishing, i will use up at least 1 normal bicycle deck each month. with the master deck, i can use it for at least 3 months. the quality is great and the decks are more durable than the normal bicycle decks. if i am doing XCM moves with a black deck, people will think that i am using some sort of gaff deck which makes my move so fluent. even when i let the spectators to check the black deck, they will still doubt if they are seeing a normal deck of cards. with master decks, it is just a normal design and no one will doubt it is a gaff or gimmicked deck.
MASTER DECK IS A MUST. GRAB ONE NOW!!! this is the best E deck that i ever use for XCM moves.

My favorite deck in the Bicycle Ghost Deck. Because they are easy to handle and they have such a great feel when they are real they show off your flourishes better and make your magic much more cooler and amaze a lot of people.

My favorite deck is the Bicycle Ghost Deck. It’s my favorite deck because it’s feels great especially when you fan them. Their looks are fantastic too. When you perform magic, it’s entertainment for the spectater(s). With this deck, it’s entertainment for you when you see their faces.

I think my favorite E-deck would be the Shadow Masters deck.
One of the reasons would be that it’s my favorite deck to fan with. The way the edges of the backs are shadowed create these astounding giant fans.
I also like how the pips on all the faces on the Shadow Masters are darkened to fit the look of the cards as opposed to, let’s say, the Black Tiger deck whose pips kinda give too much contrast to the black background.

erm, the most favourite deck of mine from ellu is belongs to SHADOW MASTER of coz.
first – finish.
when i first opened up the deck, i WOWed. it’s because of the smoothness n it is damn easy to faro n fan. not too thin, not too thick for me.
second – card back.
well, although it’s just ordinary bike’s back, but with the fade away design on it. i can said that it’s the most beautiful n elegant black deck for me. when u fan it well, u can see that the fade away sides are so pretty.
third – jokers.
the jokers gave me a creepy feeling. when u r doing the card-reveal with the joker. if u manage to create a great creepy environment, for sure u will scare ur audience out. i did make my audience shouted with that. xD
fourth – card box.
black, black, black and with an ace out there. well, all i can say, it’s cool. compare to the other black decks. it’s my favourite box out there.
lastly – flourish.
when i broke in the deck, it’s perfect for flourish. although i do not really use it to practice but sometimes when i took it out to play with it. my sister always said that :”play with this deck, dont use that red or blue one [wynn deck T.T]
maybe next time i’ll upload a flourish video by using shadow [of coz, my purpose is to win the half brick of my favourite deck XD]

Tally Ho Vipers Fan Back. I love the metallic look, and the fan back looks amazing. The finish on them allows them to glide smooth and elegantly. Tally Ho are always amazing cards and with a different look they really pop out. Great for color changes, and they’re possibly my favorite deck there is.

I have all of the Ellusionist decks. I love them all. But my favorite out all of them are the Bicycle Shadow Masters. They are the reason why I got into Magic. I got the “How to do Street Magic” from Ellusionist and they came with a free Shadow Master Deck. The minute I open that deck I was amaze. The look and feel of the cards are beyond I have ever seem before. I still have that first deck and still used it today because they last that long. Soon later after I got the deck I got into XCM when I saw De’vo’s DVDs. It was then I truly learn that the quality of the card count a lot. Shadow Masters are perfect for XCM. I will have to say the Tally Ho Viper Fan Back. Such a beautiful deck. Has a unique quality like none other. I would chose it over any deck of playing cards. Definately. They deliver the quality so amazingly that it isn’t even funny.

I know everyone else is saying it, but I have to say the ghost is my favourite. Very subtle, minimalistic, almost creepy but very elegant look, and it keeps fanning brilliantly even after using it for a long time. The ace and jokers are beautiful, and the joker reveal is frankly scary when performed right. This deck is Ellusionist’s best work yet.

It’s all about the finish and the overall feel of the cards the ghost deck has a great finish and appropriate thickness for some good old fashioned manipulation. I do dig the vipes too always have been a fan of Tally Ho’s so picking one is difficult but I give a sleight, pun intended, edge to the ghost a little more mysterious looking.

I love the Vintage 1800′s since I saw them on phenomenon. They work well with doing ambitious card, and people comment on how old they are ;) . I use the red version with most of my tricks, and it works well. Also I don’t have to worry about crumpling the case, since it has the old look already. I also own the Black Shadow Masters, I love the jokers and the dark feel to the deck, but don’t use it near as much.

I Like The Bicycle Ghost Deck…
First of all… i liked it because its very durable…
and has its UV-500 Airflow Finish which makes it perfect for flourishing…
Effects? Card Design? = 9/10

Not a second entry but my previous post was incomplete. Just wanted to say that the cards warped almost immediately due to the humidity. After a few hours in a card clip, they were back to normal. Couldn’t be happier with them.

My favorite deck would have to be the Masters. They feel great, simple design, and the ace of spades is wonderful. My first deck lasted for months. There’s a certain feeling when you open them – it’s weird but good.
They’re also just perfect to fan and flourish with. Doing magic with them is great as well. The finish is slick and somehow feels different than the other decks with the UV-500 Airflow finish.

I think by far Black Ghost Second Edition is the best Ellusionist deck. It feels great to handle cards like that.

Because the stunning beauty on the box and the Ace Of Spades are awesome. The UV-500 Airflow Finish completely makes the deck super smooth to work with. I love the shadow masters.

i would have to say the shadow masters because this was my first ellusionist deck i bought and i still love them. they are just phenomenal. they are an amazing piece of art. and the joker is just amazing. I JUST LOVE THE SHADOW MASTERS.

These are the most beautiful cards I have ever seen! As a Graphic Artist, I truely apprecaite the loving care and attention to detail that was put into the production and printing of this incredibul deck. I would be happy to own one of them, let alone 6!

My favourite Ellusionist deck is Tally-Ho Black Viper Fan Back
This is my first deck I brought.I been using it for 2 years.It is perfect for magic and flourish.I buy other Ellusionist deck too,but nothing else as good as this deck.It is good in everything,this is why I’m still using this deck after 2 years.It is durable,smooth,elastic,elegant black and silver fan back.If you are a magician,it is cool to have it for magic.If you are a flourisher,is fun to have it for cut,shuffle,fan,spread,one hand cut,aces production,and cardistry.If you are just love it,you sure will buy it as a collection.You will know how beautiful this deck after you buy it.

Why? Because they feel always so smooth and i really enjoy them. I love the design of the cards. The day when i open those cards i was happy one of my best days in my live :P They fan really nice. I like them whit flourishing. I hope i will be picked because i may not buy any cards any more from my parents. Bicycle Shadow Master
I love this deck!! The unique shadow design in the cards is amazing. I’ve used this deck so much that they are starting to wear out and stick so they don’t fan well anymore, but I still love them. To top it all off is the ace of spades. I love the way they designed it with the eagle and the crown. I really like the stock used for them, and the design on them really makes them stand out (albeit suspiciously ) but it really is a pleasure to use them when I do.

My Favorite deck has to be the ghost deck! Right out of the box it has a nice feel with its UV 500 airflow finish. The white edges are kind of like a light shadowy look really awesome. The Court cards look really cool with black and white effect, and the jokers are just Awesome!

Vintage 1800 (red)
The deck itself has a cool design but, you can also add in a very cool routine i came across using names on the back of the card saying something like
“These cards were my grandfathers. He had trouble with his memory so he wrote all of his friends names on the back of the cards.”
They pick a card and the spectators name is on the back of the selected card.

i think the shadow masters are the best deck. I used to own a deck of them and am planning on getting another deck or two sometime this week. I enjoyed the shadow masters the best because of there eerie look and it catches peoples attention really well. The uv500 finish really makes the cards feel just like butter. Also the faded design to them just look beautiful,just beautiful. There is even some cool stuff out of the box like the special code reveal witch i like to use sometimes in my routine. Sorry but i cant make a video because im not allowed to.

in INDIA here the deck will cost more than a thousand and five hundred rupees as its real cost is some $9.
As in INDIA all these decks are not available and i have to use cheap decks which doesn’t have any air cushion nor poker size.

This is my favorite deck, because they are very durable after many show. The classic design causes it’s useful to any cards routines. Those cards has got the best the thickness and flexibility. I use this deck from about 4 months and they’re have very good quality.

I Must say Tally-Ho Cards Kick ass for XCM so i’m gonna say:
Tally-Ho Fan Back Blue
Why Them: Last Christmas i bought like 4 deck of cards (Tally-ho Black viper, Bicycle Masters edition, Black ghost deck 2nd edtion and Bicycle Vintage 1800 series) After like 2 weeks all my decks were getting old except for my Tally-Ho Black Viper. But like every black deck of cards corners were all white.
So my choice is Tally-Ho Fan Back Blue also because i need to pratice alot Clipshift from Chad Nelson (you need a great deck to pratice that move).
If you want me to post a video of me doing XCM i’ll do it for sure.

bicycle shadow masters are the best for flourishing because the black cards can get attention by itself, but when you add flourishes into that, you’ve got them hook line and sinker. also, the details that were put into the ace of spades and jokers are so precise, they just blew me away.

Shadow Masters
The shadow masters deck is far beyond any card deck I have ever used. Everything from the blurred images to the sick jokers separates this deck from the rest. The sleek UV finish also makes it ideal for doing tricks and sleight of hand. I make friends wash their hands before they even touch a single card in my shadow masters.
