max vlassenko on tv

Max Vlassenko is last year’s Xtreme Card Manipulation World Champion and one of our favourite HLers. His card skills are way above most of the guys in the business. Here are some of his real world accomplishments with the art.

This is my most recent television appearance here in Toronto on the show called Breakfast Television on City TV!

This is another one of my television appearances. On the show, CH Morning Live.

And here is my recent television appearance on the show called daytime!

I actually think he is really pretty charsimatic on these shows. 3 thumbs up MAX!

  2. Michael Tyler Says:

    I don’t like his style…

  3. Lee Asher Says:

Max is certainly a bad ass! I love how Dina Pugliese (on the latest Breakfast Television clip) lights up when Max says “It’s a new hand sport!”

    Awesome! Good work Max.

  4. Doc Kelly Says:

Anything that is done to show the world the excioting art of card manipulation is good.

Mr. Tyler, one question…how did you do in the World Championships?

  5. Tarvi Says:

Brilliant publicity, and you performed and demonstrated so well. 5/5 for just not dropping a single time :-)

Keep it up Max, and keep advertising our passion!

I could be wrong but I can think of nobody that is out there performing XCM for laymen, as much as Max right now! he’s getting booked for gigs , on TV shows, etc etc and he’s not even 18 I think! I agree with Jaspas that max doesn’t look uncomfortable or dorky at all, he’s standing tall, facing the camera, smiling and chattin up the hot chick hosts… pimpin ain’t easy!

  7. Garry Says:

Daaaayum, BT’s one of the most watched programs in Toronto. Being on that show is guaranteed to attract a lot of people! Way to spread the art Max =) Awesome

  8. TheCuso Says:

  9. Phillip Chua Says:

    edward scissor-cards? hahaha nice! 5/5 brosef~

  10. Aristote Says:

Wow that was really cool. Lots of work here! Congratulation.

Other post : there is a lot of people performing live, stop geeking.

    Ps: world champion?… huuuum

  11. d00m5day Says:

I agree, I don’t rly like his style… it seems awkward when he’s doing some moves. But yeah, being on BT is a great way to spread the art. yay!

The only thing is, im not sure how many adults watching the program would be rly too interested…

  12. Jamal Says:

@Aristote- By world champion he means the Handlordz world xcm tournament champion

  13. Xxgobxxbluthxx Says:

    that takes balls. Congrats Max

  14. Sean Says:

@Jamal, that really doesn’t mean much when the best guys aren’t allowed to enter it on account of them being ‘haters.’

Anyone can make themselves sound good by saying something like that. “I’m the world champion” sounds promising to the show host I’m sure, but it’s meaning is shattered when those who know how overblown that title is hear it.

Considering how few people do this art, how tiny a portion of the miniscule fraction reside at handlordz, and what a fraction of THOSE actually participate in the tournament, the title “world champion” is pretty meaningless.

  15. Philipmcuauley Says:

Max is fucken skilled. Awesome publicity. Just get the fuck out of gaylordz.

  16. Jamal Says:

@Sean- All your best guys were once HLers and they entered the tournament in the past. They got there ass kicked lol. Besides most of the other “best” that weren’t Hlers would probably lose in the “no cuts” round lol

  17. Iamhaddy Says:

wow max ftw. He is actually on BT

  18. Raphael Williamson Says:

When you star watching a tv show, you can’t help falling in love with some characters and their stories, even if they’re stupid.
