If you were wondering what Motions and Demon Claw from “Secret Books of De’vo vol.1” looked like here is a nice example by the hardcore HLer XCMeijin.

In the spirit of “flourishing videos”, but in the style of Handlordz XCM.
Inspired by a popping/locking dance performance to create this video.

cool thats the first time ive seen the DC or motions on video. but , I didnt like how the moves were edited together with a fade-to-black between each move, and several repetitions of the simple pressure fan twirl sequence. anyways XCMeijin, you’re incredible man. the vierek variations were fantastic (upside-down and the magical under-cloth contstruction)

yikes waaaaay too many black screens lol. I think if xcmeijin was goin for a more down tempo feel he should’ve made it shorter and at least faded the moves, black screens are dull if you don’t do it right. some stick stuff in there though I gave it a 5.

I thought it was nice, the DC was performed well, and I also liked the sculptures, what I didn’t like is the motions and the repetitive fan twirls. overall it was nicer to watch than most vids being put out these days so i’m happy ^^

I wanted to see the 180 pivot in action…
You know…there is a dilema on the CLAW GRIP and you can ask De’vo about this…although he would avoid.
In Bone’Ho’s EYE DISPLAY video,at the end of the video Bone writes CREATED,PERFORMED AND FILMED By Bone HO.
So the CLAW was Bone’s and stolen by De’vo or viceversa?

Motions isn’t really worth all that hype. But i must admit, motions is certainly interesting and cool.

Fine. The grip FIRST publicly appeared on the first Superhandz site back in ‘02 in a photo of De’vo’s line cut, shortly afterwards the grip was also shown in the Xtreme #1 video as part of De’vo’s circle cut. Bone’s video using an identical grip came out in ‘06. Those are facts that we can all agree to. YOU can decide based on these facts who used/created what first.

Devo may have posted pictures of it, but the grip itself really isn’t very special, it’s nice that Bone made the grip into something. Also you shouldn’t have any trouble linking me to these archived pics then right?

How did Bone make it into something special? De’ had already used it in a display years before Bone did, and that’s not even to cool part about the grip, which thankfully you’re still blind to….

Yes and I also pmed bone about this some time ago. To summarize it he said that devo did not steal the grip our cut, infact bone was told by one of his friends to make a display that looks like a boat. Then came the eye cut:P

the vid was pretty dull, maybe u should use more different moves in you’re vids. for example the diamond sss is in all your vid yet there are single cards everywhere. It needs improvement. I saw it formed great in a vid, dunno where, with real packets, so I think u should improve.
Though I liked seeing HL guys pick up single card flourish and sliding (V-shape) like DN does for age.

Well, dancedany the book is limited to 100, hard back with a custom leather cover, and has some cool material not seen by too many people. I feel it was worth it. :)

I respect D&D. I don’t respect de’vo as a person, just (some of) what he can do with cards, and reading through the secret books makes me pretty happy that I didn’t blow a hundred dollars as the material is rhetoric garbage, I felt like I was getting worse at flourishing as I was reading it.

sean I love you man but, de’vo is like a power poker player you don’t want to get involved with postflop. If you’re going to be a jolly pirate and give away other people’s life work, while also disrespecting their work, nobody can stop you. but, its legally a bad idea to openly brag about it on top of that.
It seems to me that de’vo has never said or done shit to you, and probably has no idea who you are, but you’re jumping on the anti-HL bandwagon because its fun for you (and probably b/c you like andrei) – everyones entitled to their own opinion an all that, but just think about where your motivation is coming from. Even Jamal just pwned you in an ethics discussion and thats when you know you have a problem ;-D

Oh, does it seem like that to you? I’m not contending this for any of your artsy, false assumptions (andrei? wtf.) I just find it hard to not point it out when someone is being a complete tool, especially while the myriad of people who don’t want to think independently join in adulation and in this case, recognize their diety’s figments of mad skillz.
