Codeblack – A Card Fourishing Short Film
Posted on: May 15, 2009
Reza and Ajek30 put this little cardistry short film together and it simply captivated me.
You MUST watch this video. It i’s one of those things that tells you that our art is more than shuffling and cutting the cards.
When a video is good you don’t waste your time judging the moves, remember that the goal is to please the eye and entertain with beautiful pieces of visual “magic”.
Ajek30, I know where you are going to be in a couple of years,
Keep it up.

Ok, that had nothing to do with flourishing.
If that’s what you think cardistry should be like, I don’t want to be a part of it.
I would prefer it if you wouldn’t blog my future videos.

Interesting beginning of video, gave me a little bit of deja vu from other videos. I don’t quite get the storyline, seemed like it coulda turned into something, but you never did anything with it, you introduced a theme and were like okay, totally different scene now.
Flourishing was nice, nothing jaw-dropping though

What kind of camera are you using?
Awesome quality whatever it is..
Maybe it was something else with filters or whatever, but I still want to know…:)

Flippin’ A, very well made video. Felt like a fusion of manipulation, Reservoir Dogs, Cowboy Bebop and Enter the Dragon. Lol, ok, maybe that’s confusing, i’ll be more specific.
Intro scenes just brought Reservoir Dogs to mind. The guy who handed you the cards reminded me of Abdul-Kareem Jabar from Enter the Dragon. Music choice i felt fit very well… and obviously the manipulation was there.
Again, very well made video! Excellent!

definitely good…
yay .. it felt like a real movie.. nice
I don’t think that every cardistry video has to be like this.. THIS is something special.. and if every vid is going to be like this than it wouldn’t be eye candy any more so.. keep it up
be creative.. :D :D :D

Cardartistry is a multi-faceted venue. The quality of the video production keeps on improving and the search for a new approach is unending.
Keep up the good work. An exploration like this is both artistic and different. Not everything that is produced will please everyone but please…PLEASE…do not give up the quest.
You all blow me way with your never-ending new ideas.

It was entertaining to say the least.
I think it was a great short, although this is not exactly cardistry imo, I really liked the feel of it. It felt like incorporating it into other things… like, it can be an art just doing simple things well…
Thanks for the video!
