How to make a Christmas Gift Box with 21 playing cards

You don’t need glue, tape or any other material, just 21 ordinary playing cards that you have to fold in a special way and your hands. You will make a perfect cube with a lid on top that you can use to wrap up little gifts for your friends. Very original and easy to do!
Now start filling them with candy for Christmas!!!
Use it to keep your Rubik’s Cubes safe!

@Morten the cards will stick out through the window so i dont see the point.
I just made a double one to put my pens in it. looks cool!
@Marco M i used an old deck of mine that i had with some signed, missing and torn cards.
You can make one out of the ad cards or jokers!!!

@Alejandro, i know that i can take other cards, but i there are a million better ways to use them instead of making a little gift box that doesn’t even look that good. This is just my opinion.

no there isn’t. in fact there isn’t one better way to use them.

There isn’t? Using them to practice pirouettes, back palms, card throwing, card juggling?
I said “my opinion”. In my opinion there are lots of better ways to use them. I just like the memo stand that Kevin Ho made, but you dont have to waste 21 cards there.

I have tons of trash decks stored in my closet, i guess i can use one of those to juggle, practice classic manipulation, (pirouettes? :S), and so forth but i’d still have some spare cards to make a few boxes without feeling like i’ve wasted a fortune.
But that’s just me… Anyway, can’t you use the advertising cards for the same purpose and paint them or something?
I can tell you is worth a try, the box looks pretty cool!!!

Ha ha, Marco, you don’t think they look good? I think they look fine for a box made out of cards.
But of corse you could use the 21 cards for other things, but really, it’s not like they will be gone forever =P

Wow, this is pretty cool,
These boxes rule,
I just made two,
One red and one blue,
One for me and one for you,
Ha ha, this rhymes,
I might sell these for a few dimes.
I just had a vision,
I’m going to make a bigger one,
Both blue and red,
Maybe as big as a shed,
Okay, this is getting annoying,
But I was merely toying,
I better stop this now,
But I’ll leave with something “wow”,

This is a very cool and creative idea! Those who don’t like it, and say they have better things to do with their old decks, can at least be polite and applaud the mans creativity and the goodwill to share ideas. Thank you.
