[Your Style] Giovanni Principe – Style
Posted on: June 29, 2008Giovanni didn’t spend much time coming up with a title for his Your Style competition entry but we can forgive him for the good moves he includded in it.
I specially liked those ace productions and the fact that you showed your face in the video. For me that’s a key factor nowadays, its hard to remember a flourisher’s name if you can’t associate it to a portrait.
I hope my interviews will help you solve this particular issue.

you are better off copying dan and dave move for move

Of course that’s your opinion “me”, but in my opinion, just copying someone move-for-move doesn’t get you very far in terms of personal originality and style.
I certainly wouldn’t like to see a bunch of dan and dave “do-alikes” and I would imagine Dan and Dave wouldn’t like it either.
The art is only going to progress if people exlpore. Something that might look “retarded” on its own may look amazing when used in/with something else.
If Giovanni likes to do things that way, then let him do it.
Do the stuff the way you want to do it and do the moves that you enjoy doing. Don’t be afraid to explore, rather than limiting yourself.

i dindt really like this much, many moves were unsmooth, for some weird reason the cards looked small, some fluttering was really pointless some produccions were really good though

i liked that video because you DON’T COPY that “smooth” (boring) style! And the music fitted perfect, it was “hypnotic” and your own style!

this comments to me what do u mean making card houses. haha. you sound like the biggest noob for saying that. and second dont say retarted because i happen to have a retard in my family so that offends me and if i ever see you in person ill tear you in half. naa im just kidding lol but still, choose your words more wisely.

Honestly… I started off not liking it at all…. but then some some epic ace productions came out and I was sold. Cuso made a good call blogging this vid
