Allan Hagen – Experiment (test footage June 9th)

I make these 1-minute test videos all the time, and I don’t spend more than a couple of hours on each. this was in particular to test out a film stock type of look, and it is important that the emphasis is solely on the production, and not the moves. these tests all lead up to something, and there are more of them to come.”

Haha, my lack of exterior beauty is the sole reason I’ve kept my face out of my videos. I’ll keep that in mind.
I’m actually pretty glad I posted this test footage – I got a request and opportunity I probably wouldn’t have otherwise. What it’s all about, I hope I’ll be able to show you guys some day.
Regarding the beginning, I’ve had people say all kinds of stuff. Car, bike, Dave Buck thought it was a train, now Merry-go-round, but actually, it’s just me spinning around with a deck in one hand and the camera in the other.

ah yes, just spinning in a circle…..sometimes people forget that the easiest way is always the most likely way….no need to over-complicate things

i was smart enuff to realize that you were just spinning around, keep ur face out of the vids(jks)…overall nice editting..moves weren’t all tht great but hey..its all eyecandy:)

Haha.. I don’t think any of you are really getting this. it’s not about the moves. it’s not about my face. it’s not about how I achieve the spinning stuff. it’s about the look and mood it creates.
It’s a test footage, and I have about 50 similar videos lying around. I can sometimes create as many as 10 a week. this is just like all them other ones, except I posted it for some weird reason.. I don’t really want comments on it, that’s why I never really wanted Alejandro to blog it in the first place, but since he already did, sure, just keep it..
