What would Ashford Kneitel think about this move if he happened to read the blog?
For those who liked F 501, consider this as a present ;)
This was shot the same day, at the same place as F 501. Here is the whole Scenacle team: Mattgic, MaXim, Dimitri, 7heart and Aristote.
Enjoy !

I enjoy making videos. Something most of us have understood by now. But when I started editing the Blackpool video, something felt.. not right. After a couple of days, my Macintosh HDD decides to mess up and suddenly get a complete disaster failure. So I lost everything. Which is also incidentally the r
eason I still shoot HDV on Mini-DV tapes. Even if you do experience a disaster situation, you’ve still got your footage. Since then I’ve experienced another disk crash, but that was some super-silly error I made on my laptop, and has very little to do with the Blackpool video.
Over the last month it feels like I’ve spent all my spare time to edit this video. A little AppleScript I wrote tells me that I’ve spent about eight hours and forty-two minutes on the video. This indicates how incredibly little spare time I’ve had
Being set back by the hard drive crash was a good thing. What didn’t feel right at first, feels right now, that I’ve re-done it.
This will be the last video I make for a good while. I can say for sure that I’ll be putting out something, between August and September sometime, but wouldn’t bother going more into details about that right now.
Well, what a great chance to share this work of mine.
Most of the people in the video I’ve met on multiple occasions before. As always, some of the best moments of my teen life have been spent with you guys. Hope you can say the same.

It’s been official for quite a while now but for those of you that don’t read dan and dave’s newsletter (sign up if you didn’t!), Chad Nelson is going to teach his underground sleight of hand masterpiece: the Clipshift.
You saw it in the Queen’s performance inside the Trilogy (the last vanish), it’s also in the Blackpool 2008 video as a color change performed by my friend Jordan Lapping, you also saw it in “Dan at the convention” as well as in many other underground videos all around the scene.
And now it is going to be taught to anyone willing to pay for the dvd!
Expect hundreds of youtube vids showing it, expect not being able to fool your favourite oldschool magician in town…
Come on Chad, call it off, be a worst magician and come up with some other average stuff but keep this underground, it is too good to be shared to the public!
Here are my 2 cents. Use it as your avatar in the forums or whatever you want, we must Save the Clipshift!
To all the card artists around the world… DON’T BUY SURFACED!!! :P

***COURTESY OF ALLAN HAGEN***
I promised everyone that I would post the final Blackpool video here, and so here it is. It was a shock this morning; I hadn’t expected to find it finished already — but Allan has spent much of his free time playing with the video. I feel that was very kind of him, considering the little spare time he has. Happy Birthday, mate.
So without further ado, I present to you the final instalment of the trio; “BLACKPOOL 2008″. Despite the apparent mental-retardness, I hope you do have fun watching — it was certainly a great Convention. Thank you to all that attended and made it what it was! I’d also like to thank Dan and Dave Buck for allowing me to post this Clip Shift performance; very kind of them.
Enjoy,
Jordan Lapping

What do you think about the current flourishing communities in the internet? (t11, dnd ,DN, etc..)
Recently I have got new friends and informaition posting my video clips to foreign sites like Youtube
but I didn’t know whether there were flourishing communities in the internet since then.
Eventhough I don’t know much about their activities, I believe flourish can be close to people and helpful for the technique and diversity by the communities.
What would you change?
This is hard question to answer. I try to think many times and still don’t know the answer.
I just would like to work hard and enjoy it in my field.
Who do you think is the most talented amateur and why?
The question is getting harder :)
I don’t know which amateur is talented and how much effort he or she is puting on.
However, when I see De’vo or Dan & Dave, I can feel how much they have been working hard whether gifted or not. So I respect their originality and passion.
What do you think about my blog?
As you know, I’ve been visiting your blog in short period of time and my English skill is not enough to understand all the contents in your blog. However I am sure that your blog and what you are doing has a positive meaning.
Who would you like to be interviewed next?
I would recommend Dimitri won the CCC 2008.
I have been known him lately. He is very kind with great skills.
Anything else you want to add?
I wanna thank to all the magicians and flourishers with all my heart.
New video by Brendan Conner. A video was planned with de_lux, Justinkelly and Brendan for the CCC 2008, but couldn’t be done. This is Brendan’s footage ; imagine how awesome it would be if they participated…
Here is a compilation of some of the footage I shot for my CCC vid which, due to technical difficulties and overall lack of effort/drive, never actually happened.

A nice molecule-looking cut by my friend Dominik. Isn’t it smooth?
Hey guys it’s being a very busy week for me so that’s why you won’t see many updates, probably until weekend. I won’t even be around msn or mebeam so if you want to reach me please send me an email to thecuso@gmail.com.
All of you have seen the numerous spam comments that the blog has been receiving but don’t worry, i think i have found a way to fix the problem, or at least cut them down a bit.
Once again, sorry for the lack of updates and i would really appreciate if you could send me the lastest news to my email so that i could post them under your name, whether they are videos, articles or whatever you think would fit in the blog.
My french friend Mattgic might be posting some news every now and then as well as John Aragi (Aceking) but i would really want you to help us don’t let the blog die.
Thanks for your understanding and support in advance.
Yours,
Alejandro Portela, aka TheCuso

Ok, finaly i decided to release this move to the public.
I think it’s my best creation and though it might seem an easy and stupid cut it has a lot of potential.
Nebula is an utility move that it’s meant to be incorporated into more complex and elaborated flourishes.
As an elegant alternative to the swing cut it can also be used to divide the deck in two halves in the middle of your favourite one handed cuts routine.
I like to use it before making a smear fan in the right hand and a carnahan in the left to show a circle.
I know many people (includding my friends Jonas Haglund, Huron Low, TicaL and others) are using this move and have came up with fantastic variations and combos that might eventually be made public for you.
I had a hard time deciding if i should release this move or keep it for me and my friends but you know how i am and how i think, and for those of you that dont i’ll tell you…
I think this move has a lot of potential as i said so keeping it wouldn’t make our art progress in any way.
So here is my little gift for you to experiment.
I would like to see hundreds of video responses with your ideas upon this concept and of course i would like you to TAKE YOUR TIME to comment on what do you think about the move (what is nice and what is not…) so please stay away from saying: “nice”, “wow”, “great stuff” “thanks” “keep it up” kind of comments, PLEASE! :P
I want to thank everyone that watches my stuff, all my subscribers at youtube and specially in my blog (those of you that take me seriously :P), all my flourishing friends and the video editor who asked me to keep his name private.
Thanks a lot once again and enjoy!
